Sneer-answer stays biographical and seasonal: a grandfather who likes babies, one chief-of-staff interview on sequence, one “seasons” quote. Do not reopen the NYT as a conspiracy engine; the plot charge is already the foil.

Recategorization and abortion-crescendo are nature-denial punctuation, not a second column. Stack them short, then cut. If trans asides and clinic-adjacent hormone detail keep running, the family argument becomes spectacle or advertorial.
